Chicago, December 8, 2008 - NOI Strategies is please to announce the addition Ralph Somers as one of its most distinguished industry consultants.

Ralph is known as one of the foremost experts in real estate accounting and technology having managed the implementation of primary financial systems on behalf of dozens of the world’s largest real estate companies. He has extensive relationships with tier one commercial real estate companies world-wide who rely upon his expertise to define and optimize their most critical business processes, policies, and procedures. Ralph’s passion for the industry is second to none. His strong credibility led to considerable success as a sales executive on behalf of Realm Business Solutions.

Ralph began his real estate career as an entry-level accountant at The Macerich Company shortly after his graduation from UCLA. As a Controller reporting to the CFO, Ralph led the transition of the company from cash basis accounting to GAAP in support of the company’s IPO in 1994. He also led the implementation of the CTI Property Management Accounting system at Macerich.

In 1996, he joined CTI Limited (purchased by Realm Business Solutions in 2000) and became a technology consultant to dozens of prestigious global real estate organizations. As Vice President, Real Estate Specialist, Ralph served as the resident ‘ace’ for many of Realm’s most important engagements. Ralph continued his role as Real Estate Specialist after the acquisition of the CTI division of Realm by Yardi Systems in 2008.

Ralph is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF). He has also served on the Information Management committee at NCREIF.

Ralph has authored several whitepapers, including “RECOVERIES: KIND OF A DRAG”.
